This laptop was designed by Lenovo in 2018 to be a basic device for ease of use by everyone.

What can be the problem of my Lenovo idea pad 320? Can this be fixed?

My Lenovo ideapad 320 started to lag after it keeps on updating OS, then suddenly one day it stop turning on, what could be the problem? I think the deffect started when it updated automatically to a new version OS

@uptempoguy The laptop started to function very slow than the usual when it automatically upgraded it's window OS, I first bought it last 2019, during the 1st year it worked fine, but when the automatic upgrades started to be imposed on the laptop, it started to experience lagging as well as "blue screen", I'm really not sure what could be its main problem, I just want to have an opinion from people who have experience on fixing laptops so that when I bring it to a technician I won't be fooled easily as our place is kinda known for technicians who usually take advantage of people who are not familiar with computer hardwares and give cost for the repairs higher than it should be. I just want to verify if this could still be fixed? And if the repair will be worth it or will be just too costly? Any insight will be a big help. Thank you.

It could be that Windows needs a reinstall or needs to fix some boot issues. Every computer might need a fresh, new install of Windows every once in a while. Since Windows doesn’t start, you’ll have to start the Windows Recovery Environment.

Here are the steps to enter the Windows Recovery Environment (from Microsoft):

  1. Start your device and wait for the Windows logo (or the manufacturer's logo) to appear
  2. As soon as the Windows logo appears, press and hold the power button until the device shuts down
  3. Turn your device on again and repeat step 2
  4. Turn your device on a third time. Windows should display the Automatic Repair screen
  5. Select Advanced options

Press “Startup Repair.” Let the PC try to fix itself.

If this still doesn’t work, reenter the Windows Recovery Environment, and press Troubleshoot > Reset this PC > Keep my files. The PC will now reinstall Windows for you. This might take a while. You can choose to reinstall preinstalled apps, if you want the apps your manufacturer had preinstalled when you got your PC (recommended). You should also know that any and all apps you have installed previously will be removed when resetting your PC. You can always reinstall them later, and maybe find out if there was one that was causing the issues.
