If it is long and very thin, it is the rubber cushion which has long slot that sits on edge (top edge) of logic board, precisely under the two screen flex cables. It is a protective device for the cables, though not absolutely necessary, just set it back into place when you put iPhone back together.

what if the screw is not screw in at all. its the one that hols a panel where all the connections from the LCD and front camera connects.
