Blade completely off centre

I got a catch when the wood piece slipped when I was making a 45 degree cut. The blade no longer runs in the plate groove and there is some binding . I cannot see how this is adjusted back to square. HELP!

Here's the page from the service manual that shows how to adjust the angle of the blade that may help.
