Why is my washer agitating while filling?
My washer starts agitating immediately (while filling) when I start the cycle. Does this require a timer replacement?
Ist dies eine gute Frage?

@deborahgle20237 we will need to know the exact model number for your washer. There are many washers with different modes in the Kenmore washer 110 series. Once we know the exact model number we can use the techsheet (if available) to run the diagnostics mode to determine what is normal behavior and what part as failed. You don't just want to go ahead and replace costly parts without a proper diagnostics.

@deborahgle20237 I am not as well versed as my colleague @jayeff in appliance repair but lets see if we can get your washer to at least display an error code.
Try this
Unplug your washer for a few minutes, then plug it back in. That will ensure the washer is in standby mode: Plugged in with all indicators off.
Turn the cycle selector knob at least one full turn counterclockwise: One or more clicks to clear any previous sequence.
Enter the diagnostic sequence:
Turn the cycle selector knob clockwise one click and wait ½ second.
Turn the cycle selector knob clockwise one click and wait ½ second.
Turn the cycle selector knob clockwise one click and wait ½ second.
Turn the cycle selector knob counterclockwise one click and wait ½ second.
Turn the cycle selector knob clockwise one click.
Confirmation: All status LEDs (except for "Lid Locked") will flash on and off in half-second intervals to indicate successful activation.
Accessing diagnostic features
Fault Code Display Mode: Press the START button to enter the Fault Code Display Mode.
Let us know what happens (no, it will not blow up ;-) and if anything displays.
