I replaced the small pulley on my kenwood chef 300 motor

and despite the fact that my motor was fully operational before replacing the pulley, now the motor (which is i've removed from the housing) doesn't spin unless i manually spin it first.

Then it spins normally but once i turn the dial to zero, when i turn the dial to switch it on again, the pulley/drive gear won't spin until i spin it manually again
