New 3ds lcd issue

Good day ladies and gents

I have a new 3ds of which I have an issue with the lower screen. The device powers on , but only the top screen shows up. The bottom screen is black but the touchscreen works. I have replaced the lcd bottom screen twice but to no avail. The ribbons are secured, the ribbon clip is fine and clean. This applies to the lcd and light connectors. Could I ask if there is anyone that has a solution please

Hi Tobi!

Well, then it’s most likely motherboard related. Does the screen shows anything? Maybe the blacklight is just dead. You can check with a flashlight on the screen.

In the worst case, a motherboard replacement is required.

Hi there. I did think it would end up being the lighting issue. I will try and get some photos accoss on here. And thank you for your response 🙂

My pleasure! That would help, thank you :)! Then it's most likely something on the motherboard causing this issue. Can be a lot of components. Running tests is required to check for the backlight!
