Hi!
Okay, so what happens when you put in the controller? Does the dualshock light work? Or is nothing working at all?
Also, did you tried another controller, just to test if it's controller or console related?
If it's not working with another controller as well, you might want to replace the controller port board: PlayStation 2 Power Board Replacement - iFixit Repair Guide (follow till step 7), do not take the 2 screws out as in step 5.
This should do the trick!
