touch screen not responding aftter water damage?

hello

umm my brother had my ipod in the bathroom and he dropped my ipod in the toilet then i tried the rice trick but no luck then i just totally gave up after i tried the geniuses in the apple store then they said that it voided my warrantyso i was mad. i forgot about my ipod for 2 moths thwen now i really wanted to fix it . help plz ii dont kno how to take out the water in it. the damage is soo severe that my touch screen is not responding it says "slide to unlock " and i cant slide it help what can i do to fix it with no cost at all???

wilmer, you may have already got plenty of corrosion on your board, the connectors and the cables. Use this guide to clean your iPod. It was written for an iPhone, but the cleaning steps are the same for your. Here is a general guide and of course, to work on your iPod use these. I would also suggest that you do not tr to turn it on anymore until you have it properly cleaned, after that reevaluate for any damage. Hope this helps, good luck.

I figured something like that. At least they should pick questions that I answered falsely by don't pick the good ones :-) Seem to be having picked up a bunch of people with juvenile behavior on here

Open it up and clean the logic board gently with Isopropyl alcohol, and then try putting it back together and powering it up.

since my ipod is in that type of mode , i tried to take out the battery and replace it with a new one ,,, but... i cant do that , cuz my screen is cracked . so i pujt it in rice and it starts working. i left it in the rice for 36 hours . but on the next day ... i cant slide to unlock and everything is frozen . i tried to reset it and still nothing . i need help asap ! thank you ,

Did you ever get it fixed? The same situation happened for my son and I am trying to figure out how to fix it.
