touch bar cable that goes thru slot on logic board broken, since it has from looking at pictures, connector at each end, how much teardown is there to replace? Looks like touch bar it self need not be involved?

There are two cables involved with the TouchBar the display/sensor cable from the Touch Bar it's self and the MacBook Pro 13" (A2159, 2019) Touch Bar Cable which has on it the display logic. And the second cable connection goes to the main logic board.

I know this a bit relevant to the conversation but the touch bar was a bad design man. Thats why apple has gotten rid of it.

@hannah55364 - I don't disagree, but the idea was sound! They forgot the force people would apply to it. That gets into the placement! If Apple had placed it just below the LCD panel (Chin plate space) they would have had a winner! The reason that would have worked as the pressure you applied would have either caused the display to tilt or the system would have slid back with the excessive force instead of fracturing the panel and would have been at a more useful angel!
