i can’t find where the top screen ribbon cable is, i need help finding it and then i’ll try re inserting it, im not sure where it is and i want to know before i ruin the 3ds even more

Hi!
Please check this guide: Nintendo 3DS XL oberes LCD-Display tauschen (especially step 19 and 22). With this guide you should get the cable back again as where they should be!
Note: please make sure that none of the cables are trapped under the motherboard!

On a 3DS XL, the top screen ribbon cable runs through the hinge and connects to a wide flip-lock connector on the motherboard near the right hinge. You must remove the back housing to see it. It’s the widest ribbon coming from the hinge. Be careful — pulling incorrectly can tear the cable. Send a photo if you'd like me to identify it for you.
