Why my laptop cannot open connected mobile device for files viewing?
When I connect a mobile phone, it can only open for photos 📸 but cannot open for files view and transfer 😢

What is the make and model number of the phone?
Assuming the mobile device is connected to the laptop via a USB cable connection, have you selected the correct connection option in the phone?
Usually just swipe down on the phone's home screen to view the USB connection options

Yes, have tried several devices in file transfer mode but the laptop cannot see them.
Have you tried different USB ports in the laptop?
Have you tried different USB cables?
Do the devices indicate that the battery in them is being charged when they're connected to the laptop's USB ports?
Yes they do charge and also can access photos on them but with file transfer not.
What OS is installed on the laptop?
If Win11 check if the files are located in This PC in Explorer
Os 8s 8.1 pro
