Xbox button light flashes only when held down, will not turn on
Controller less than 6 mo old.
I use rechargeable AA batteries.
When pressing the Xbox button once, the light comes on and turns off immediately.
When holding the button, the light blinks repeatedly on and off in ~1 second intervals.
I cannot get the controller to turn on and connect to my original Xbox One. I have not had this problem until recently. The problem is inconsistent--sometimes the controller will power on after a few seconds of flashing.
Ist dies eine gute Frage?

I can't believe that Microsoft STILL doesn't use built-in batteries! Sure, they're a pain to replace, but rechargeable batteries can also be a pain. I mean, you're always taking them out to recharge them, and in a lot of cases, the device you're powering isn't exactly designed for quick battery changing. Like a flashlight. With a lot of those, you have to unscrew the button cap, then take out a battery case, and finally pry the batteries out. If anything, a company could at LEAST make rechargeable batteries last at least as long as regular ones. Will any company do this? Probably not. I know it's technically possible. A very compact lithium-ion battery can power a Joy-Con for about as long as two AA batteries can power one of my Wii remotes. So why doesn't anyone do something like that with a general-purpose rechargeable battery?
