It trips the breaker. To fix it I took it apart and rewired the saw .

My saw trips the house 30 amp breaker after I rewired the saw to the switch. The saw initially quit after I cut the cord while using the saw. When I put an ohm meter on the plug end of the cord, the circuit is open until I actuate the switch when it closes the circuit and goes to zero. Did I short the motor?
