Ecuador is OK too! I'm not sure if the Chinese iPhones offer access to Spanish Apple Intelligence. Have you tried comparing a local iPhone to your Chinese one side by side?
The reason I'm suspected it won't work is Apple don't offer Chinese Apple Intelligence presently. And that may be based on the hardware ID this phone has.
