Its screen is really dark and I need to point it up to my light to see it, its not horrible but id like to not need to always have a light near me to use it. I put the brightness to max but its still hard to see.

@ellieezclawzz common issue with that is a failed backlight. It is possible that this is caused by failed components on the logic board or the backlight in the screen. It is possible to change the display but it is pretty tough to fix it if it is caused by logic board issues. There are no schematics and there is no information about the actual circuitry publicly available.
