Hi,
The microphone on my apple watch has stopped working.
When i try to record something and play it back , i can only hear a hissing noise.
audio output works fine, so i believe the issue is with the mic itself.
Since the warranty has expired, i was thinking about replacing it myself,

Before you crack open your watch, first see if you can even find the combo microphone/speaker unit. I gave up fixing these years ago when parts where just not available other than salvaged from junkers.
While we have a few guides for this series Apple Watch - Series 8, we don't have anything that deep. The best we have is an older models teardown so you can see about what you'll need to get down to even to pull the old unit out Apple Watch Series 6 Teardown jump to the end the thin part at top left is the part.
