My PS3 Slim CECH-3004B has stopped reading discs after disassembly.
Hi,
Over the weekend I decided to disassemble and clean my PS3 Slim with isopropyl alcohol. At the same time I replaced both the thermal paste and the CMOS battery. After careful reassembly I turned the console on and saw a bit of white smoke coming out from under the Blu-Ray Drive (around the CMOS battery to be exact), although I didn't hear any bangs or pops from the console.
The main problem is that the PS3 has stopped reading discs, with no prior failure indicators. The console hadn't been opened before, so I presume any wrongdoing is my fault. I have tried rebuilding the file system via the safe mode menu and reconnecting the drive to no avail. How should I go about fixing it? Should I replace the laser/the entire Blu-Ray drive, or try some further diagnosis?
Thanks in advance!
Ist dies eine gute Frage?
