i m using a iphone 4S from sprint. i m using a Gevey card. this phone is not showing any caller name during incoming call or msgs. if i add a contact with +91 then it shows name during incoming but after this i can't reply any msg to that no(like +9198763*****). i can send msg only to without prefix country code.
Ist dies eine gute Frage?

i updated the Ios of the iphone to latest firmware 5.1.1 then i changed the Gevey card and program it to new settings acc to their carrier of the phone . This solved the problem of messages and caller name display. i have to do is to save all the number with country prefix . thnx for help

Service providers in the USA charge extra for caller ID sometimes. If your plan is new, the provider may not be providing caller ID. Call and ask them. Also check this on the use of +91: http://countrycode.org/india

my problem is that phone not showing name of the contact . it just show the number if i add the +91 with all the contacts then it shows the contact name during incoming . after adding +91 i cannot reply msg or send a new msg to that number . i have to remove the +91 before sending the msg to any number.
If your customer is calling from a cell phone, most of the time, in my experience, the name will not show up unless you've programed your phone to show it. Ask if they're using a land line or a cell phone.
in india if any calling from any line means cell phone or landline or you have saved that number in your phone's address book then your phone display only name not the number even you have saved with country prefix number or not
