boot loop issue and not showing up in odin

Got this S7 Edge from a discard pile at work. trying to fix it. It doesn't seem to hold a charge, but I can't tell. It powers on when plugged into the computer, and after a while, it attempts to enter recovery mode. When installing the android update blue screen after two seconds it immediately shuts down and goes back to the charging screen. When plugged into odin, it does not show in at all.

Im going to try a new battery. I feel like that could be the issue since it does not like powering on after being unplugged. but will update this thread
