Samsung S10 Screen Replacement Foam Adhesive Removal?

Hi all n.n,

So, in the guide to repair the screen for the Samsung Galaxy S10 (Samsung Galaxy S10 Display tauschen), please take a look at the first image in Step 24.

See that foam adhesive? Am I supposed to remove it from the main frame, or place the new adhesive on top of it? I ask because this new adhesive is not foam-like, and if I do remove that foam adhesive and use this new one alone, will the screen even sit into place correctly without the bulk from the foam?

@aviela "If you are using a custom-cut adhesive, follow this guide for instructions on how to remove the old adhesive and attach the replacement screen." Yes, remove it if you are using custom-cut adhesive to hold the new screen in place.

@oldturkey03 Yaaay! n.n Good to hear n.n I kinda figured I needed to, but was not so sure (even after that guide), and did not want to make a mistake.

I thank God for your thorough answer, help with the matter and your promptness. =)! Now, by God, I can get back to the repair - almost done with it n.n
