My 3ds Xl D-Pad broke into three pieces but is still attached and working, do you know of any kits I can buy or to replace it? Or a guide of how to take apart the 3ds then replace the D-Pad?

There is no guide for that, yet.
But the closest one is this one: Nintendo 3DS XL Hauptplatine Austausch
In the last step, you already see a pad. You need to take that one off. It’s slightly adhered to it, so you need a plastic spudger or opening tool to get under it and take it off. After that, clean the golden contacts with isopropyl alcohol and then make sure you positioned your new d-pad sticker and get it on there (silver contacts on top of the golden contacts under there).
Then you are good to go :)!

If you buy a new motherboard, it's already on there, but I do not recommend this. This will be way more expensive and it's not required to have a new motherboard instead of using the one you have now.
It is fixed now thank you I can now not be frustrated at a broken d-pad 😀 and my friend is having troubles with his shoulder buttons on his normal 3ds is there a way to clean them without taking them apart?
My pleasure!! I’m afraid not… I think it need to be disassembled and need cleaning there. But this will be easier then taking the motherboard out. Sorry..
