I have the same car (Golf MK7), and if it only locks/unlocks the driver’s door, it’s usually not a fault — it’s just a setting.
Go into the infotainment system:
CAR → Settings → Opening & Closing (or Locking/Unlocking)
There you can choose whether only the driver’s door unlocks, all doors unlock together, doors lock automatically while driving, etc.
If it’s set to “Driver door only,” then only that door will respond when you use the key. Change it to the option that unlocks/locks all doors centrally.
Check that first before looking for a mechanical issue.
