Other reasons for phone not turning on?

Hello community,

I am trying to repair an old pixel 5, and I'm looking for advice after a few failed attempts.

This phone was returned to me from my family after they noticed it suddenly didn't turn back on. I replaced the battery, observed with an IR scanner that there is some minimal heat on the right-hand side when charging, however this didn't help.

Today I replaced the display, suspecting that it could be the next cause, but again, after charging it for a while, no game.

Now I'm suspecting that it's charging port, but after reading another post on this forum it seems you need microsoldering experience (or rely on an external service). I might have the tools and the skills to do that, but before I take that route, I'd like to know if someone has any ideas on what else could it be.
