My 2002 Kenmore dishwasher has popped the hose between the inlet valve and tub off the connections. Reattached with screw-type hose clamps, worked for a while, but hose was visibly bulging. Finally burst the hose. It's very noisy during fill cycle. Is it the water inlet valve that needs to be replaced? Is there a way to replace the port that actually delivers water to the tub? Any help is much appreciated!

Looking at the Tub Assembly parts section of the parts list for a Kenmore 665.17822000 (which I assume is your model), although it shows where the fill hose (part ID #37) from the inlet valve (part ID #20) connects into the tub, what it connects to is not a replaceable part as it's not in the parts list or even mentioned, so I'm not sure if it is part of the tub or not.
I searched online for an image of the tub using the part number (Whirlpool p/n 3378160) but results only show the parts diagrams as above and not images of the actual tub
If the noise only occurs during the fill times in the washing cycle, then it could be that the inlet valve is the problem.
Here's the tech sheet for the dishwasher that may help to isolate what is causing the noise.
It details how to run (and rapid advance through) the diagnostic test cycle so that you can test most of the components in the dishwasher.
If you find the problem and it's a faulty part that needs replacing, locate the wanted part in the parts list (above) and note the part number that is shown for the part. Search online for the part number only, to find suppliers that suit you best.
FYI Kenmore doesn't make appliances. Their appliances are made by other manufacturers presumably to order by Kenmore (Sears) and then are rebadged as a Kenmore model. That's why (in this case) all the dishwasher parts are Whirlpool parts. Other Kenmore appliances could consist entirely of LG or Frigidaire parts, just to name a few. Just so that you're aware when looking for parts that sellers may show that in this case, they're suitable for Whirlpool models and Kenmore is not named.
