Will my HP 65W adapter work with this?

I have an HP 65W adapter which shipped with my EliteBook 6 G1a — HP P/N M53944-004. This adapter is multi mode and supports 65W down to 15W and 5V for low power devices. Is this adapter a good fit for the FixHub or do I need to buy a 100W adapter like the HP 110W (100W USB-C/10W accessory port - 8B3Y2UT) or the N57045-001 (100W from the EliteBook X with the 300 series)? Top end voltage is 65W/3.25A. I tested it and the unit did not turn on initially out of the box using the HP adapter.

Yes your 65W power supply will work, it's the bare minimum. 100w is the better if you are planning on using a lot.

So it didn’t work for the initial use but I also couldn’t update the firmware immediately (I was on 1.3 out of the box). That said I can justify the 110W from HP later being the G1a units really do not like weak adapters as I found out from using a 45W when I treated it like my 645.

Your 65W HP adapter is probably insufficient. Many devices require 100W USB-C PD to power on, not just charge. Even though voltages match, the lower wattage (3.25A vs 5A) prevents startup. Use a proper 100W PD charger and compatible cable to ensure reliable power and avoid boot issues.

Did you refer to the products page where 45Watt is listed as the input, 65Watt is quite workable. A 100Watt charger offers better run time.
