Water exposure can damage the display or internal connectors. Immediately power off your laptop and disconnect the charger to prevent short circuits. Do not try to use it until fully dry. Let it air-dry for 24–48 hours (avoid heat dryers). If possible, open the panel and check for moisture near the display cable. Gray shading with horizontal lines usually indicates panel or cable damage. After drying, restart and check. If the issue remains, the screen likely needs replacement
