I have installed a new hold button combo, jack from Ifixit...and still no sound comes out of the jack. When docked, sound comes out fine...but not from the jack and yes, I have tried several pairs of earbuds.
Ist dies eine gute Frage?

Sorry to hear about the trouble!
First step: double-check the headphone jack connection (they can be surprisingly finicky).
Second step: If that doesn't solve the problem, set up a return for the headphone jack and try the replacement part.
Third step: If the replacement also does not solve the problem, it sounds like a (less common) logic board issue.
