Hi everyone, I noticed a blue plastic sticking out of my new MBA. Does anyone know what it is and if I should be worried? I bought it a week ago and just noticed it now. Thank you in advance.

Apple uses a Blue plastic carrier for their precut adhesive tapes holding the display panels as well as batteries. As an example here's the 27" display adhesive kit note the blue tabs
Now what adhesive carrier got left behind in your case? At this point you could ask the seller what they replaced (likely the battery) but the battery is along the front edge not the back edge. The logic board is near here but I don't remember seeing a need for adhesive from a repair perspective.
Of course you could take the bottom cover off and take a fresh picture so we can try to ID what it's stuck to. I would be careful pulling it or even cutting it until you know what's it's caught on. Or even go back to the seller to have then fix it.
