@victornhlabatsi does it idle rough? What do the RPM's show and is it consistent what you hear coming from the engine? Trying to figure out if your engine RPM is actually fluctuating, or the tachometer itself is receiving a bad electrical signal.
If the engine actually idles rough then the issue could be a vacuum leak on the lines on your intake manifold or even a dirty Idle Air Control Valve.
If the engine runs smooth but your tachometer surges you may have issues with corrosion on your ignition coil wiring or the igniter assembly. It could also be a bad instrument cluster but then your tachometer would most likely do this all of the time.
