1 Why is my generator shutting down after about 20 minutes
Every time I Crank It up it runs for 5 or 10 minutes and then it shuts off

A couple of possibilities:
--Low oil: Level may be "just about good" (usually halfway or higher in threads on filler neck, on portable inverter gens) when checked on level ground, and/or generator is actually running on sloped spot.
After a few minutes running, enough oil is splashed up and about in engine case that low-oil sensor calls for shut-down.
Fix: fill to recommended level, run generator as level as possible.
--CO monitor shut-down: wind changes, breeze blows a whiff of exhaust to CO monitor, and it shuts down.
Fix: position generator where CO accumulation is prevented (and at least 20' from habited structure). Some people take other measures to prevent nuisance-trips from CO sensor.

@jerrygerman what is the exact model number for your Craftsman Generator and what have you already checked? Can you start it right away or do you have to wait a while?
