Why do my beats turn off after 30 seconds

Sounds like it's time for a new battery. As batteries age, they lose their ability to hold charge. Think of them like a jar you fill with water, like charging your battery. However, each time you charge the battery, you add a marble. This represents the chemical reaction that takes place in the battery; each time you charge it, it loses a little bit of charge. Now, one marble doesn't hurt anything, but eventually the jar gets full of marbles. So now you can fill it with water (charge the battery) and even though it's charged to 100%, it only holds a fraction of the amount of water it did originally; same as your battery.

That's most likely what's happened to your battery, and now it only can take enough charge to run your Beats for half a minute. Replacing it should get you back in business. This video takes you step by step through the replacement process.
