Defective Replacement Wii DVD Drive - Clicking and Read Errors (Order #US3456213)

I recently purchased and installed a replacement Nintendo Wii DVD Drive (Order #US3456213). The installation went smoothly and the drive recognizes media initially, but as soon as a game is launched, the drive makes a loud clicking sound and displays the blue screen error: "An error has occurred. Press the Eject Button and remove the disc, then turn the Wii console off and refer to the Wii Operations Manual for help troubleshooting." This occurred on the first use of the new drive.

It seems the drive has a tracking problem or a mechanical defect. I would like to request a warranty replacement for this part.

Randall, this is the repair forum, manned primarily by volunteers like myself or regular users like you. The iFixit Store personnel don't hang out here on the off chance that a Store-related request comes through, so you're not likely to get any help from the Store by posting here.

I'd suggest going through the FixBot assistant or email them directly at support@ifixit.com; those two options are much more likely to get results.
