Ho un iMac G5, processore PPC 1.6 ghz.
Mi succede quanto segue:
accendo il pc, fa il "boing" regolarmente, la spia di accensione sul pannello frontale rimane accesa per circa 5 secondi dopodichè si spegne tutto (spia e ventole).
Potrei capire se ci sono possibilità di resuscitarlo?

There could be several reasons: power supply, overheating, bad logic board (some of these were known for getting a batch of bad capacitors). If the fans kick in to high speed right before shut down that points to overheating.
The first and basic steps would be to open the machine, blow out all the dust, then start it while open and check the diagnostic LEDs.
Podría haber varias razones: suministro power, el recalentamiento, placa lógica malo (algunos de ellos eran conocidos por gett un lote de condensadores defectuosos). Si los fans entran en juego a la alta velocidad justo antes de apagar que apunta a un sobrecalentamiento.

Ho tolto il coperchio, collegato il cavo di alimentazione ed il led n° 1 è illuminato verde.
Avvio cliccando sul bottoncino e si accende anche il led n° 2, partono le ventole e dopo 5 secondi sento un "tac", i led si spengono e tutto si ferma.
I led n° 3 e n° 4 non si sono accesi.
Aiutatemi... lo considerate un problema serio o facilmente risolvibile?
Ovviamente ringrazio molto per la risposta, rimango in attesa di ulteriori consigli e/o prove da effettuare.
