Tried updating to recent update and seems computer crashed
I tried updating to a newer version of update and now my computer is in recovery mode.

Which 2018 Mac model is it, and what exactly do you see in Recovery—an error message, a flashing folder, or the macOS Utilities window? Also, was the update interrupted or did it finish before Recovery appeared?
If you’re at macOS Utilities, don’t erase the disk yet. First open Disk Utility, choose View → Show All Devices, and run First Aid on the volumes and container. If First Aid completes, quit Disk Utility and try Reinstall macOS. Reinstalling macOS normally preserves user data, but back up first if possible; avoid Erase unless you’re prepared to lose the data or have a backup.
