<title><![CDATA[HP Deskjet: loud gear type noise when about to load paper for print]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>With the paper tray loaded our 1 year old 3520 printer started making a very loud grinding type noise when loading paper and also afterwards when it resets itself after printing.</p>

<title><![CDATA[Kodak Printer: Kodak Hero 5.1 Printer won't power on]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>I got this Kodak printer second-hand(and thus don't want to call kodak up about this), for some reason it wont power on anymore(it did when i first got it).</p>

<p>Whenever i plug the AC adapter into the mains it lights up green and when it is plugged into the printer the light goes off.</p>

<title><![CDATA[Canon Printer: Canon imageCLASS D420 stuck on "Bios updating, please wait"?]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>I have a Canon Imageclass d420 multi printer. it started the bios update on its own and it will not finish the update. I tried unplugging the unit and followed the suggested fixes, but I cannot get any response to the machine. if there is an hard reset I would like to resolve the issue. I called Canon Tech they said to send the unit in to be repaired. if anyone has any ideas please respond.</p>

<title><![CDATA[Samsung Printer: Why is the printer only printing part of the text/image?]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>My Samsung CLX 3175 printer used to print normally until the power port at the rear was damaged. The printer turns on normally and scans normally, but the printing only gets done a very tiny section of the image, which is always the same (approx one inch of the left side of what's on the page). There are no traces of ink whatsoever in the rest of the page.</p>

<p>I went through all the possible troubleshooting that the repair service suggested but nothing changed. I think this might have something to do with the circuit board moving or a hard-ware related issue, but I'm not definetely sure.</p>

<p>I would really appreciate if someone could give me an insight into this problem as it does seem the printer is repairable.</p>

<title><![CDATA[HP Officejet 6500: Broken print-head driver belt repair]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>The drive belt for the printer head carriage broke so the printer can no longer move the printer head carriage (the part that holds the 4 printer cartridges). <title><![CDATA[Epson Printer: Epson 7750 - how to charge ink?]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>I've just bought an Epson 7750 printer. I've accidentally done the initial set up and filled the ink cartridges up after. Now silly me after looking at instructions it says you need to put the ink in.. then plug the printer in and set it all up and then it'll give you the option to charge the ink.. anyone have any ideas how I can charge the ink now I've done the initial set up etc?</p>

<title><![CDATA[Epson Printer: Epson Workforce 1100 prints test page only]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>My printer sounds and move like it's printing, but the paper shows nothing.</p>

<p>I had cleaned the heads at least 10 times. The test page prints ok, but only.</p>

<p>All others print in white.</p>

<p>The noozle check shows yellow, cian and magenta, but no black.</p>

<p>Minha impressora só imprime a página de teste.</p>

<p>Já fiz limpeza de cabeças umas dez vezes. No Nozzle check aparecem as cores mas nada em preto.</p>

<p>Todas as outras tentativas a folha sai em branco.</p>

<title><![CDATA[Epson Printer: EPSON ET-2800 Error Code]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>My Epson ET-2800 printer is giving me an E-01 printer error.  It is telling me that there is a paper jam.  I do not see any paper inside of the printer.  It makes a loud click sound prior to giving the error.  I have read that I should remove paper trays and clean the pick up roller.  I have no idea how to remove paper trays on this model. <title><![CDATA[Epson Printer: Epson 740 printer stuck & noisy]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Since replacing black ink cartridge, when I try to print anything, the moving &quot;Cartridges Holder&quot; makes grinding noises &amp; won't or can't leave it's starting point, though it seems to be trying. Both black &amp; color warning lights are on &amp; paper light is blinking. I believe that the paper is fine. over the last week it has worked once or twice, but goes back to it's &quot;stuck&quot; Mode.</p>

<p>I guess I should mention that when I replaced the cartridge, in the way prescribed, it acted like it thought that the cartridge was full. The tray wouldn't stay &quot;parked&quot; so I could remove the old one &amp; put in the new one, so I held it out &amp; did the switch as quickly as possible. Is there some way to release or reset it?</p>

<title><![CDATA[LaserJet Pro 400 M401: How do I fix these sleep issues?]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>As of late, my HP M401n has been having issues in sleep mode. When the printer goes to sleep for an extended amount of time, it has a tendency to stay in sleep mode and requires a power cycle to get it out of this mode.  Since I hook much printer up over USB, I also know it shows up as offline in this state and it does not wake up despite being a wake event. This can usually be caught because  the printer doesn't turn off within 8 hours  on its own in this state. Along with these 2 issues the fastest way to determine if this is the problem is pressing one of the buttons on the control panel.</p>

<p>Even if I press a button on the control panel I usually can't get the printer out of this state without power cycling it. Once it gets to this point, there's not much I can do to kick it out and get it back online.</p>

<p>At one point I also had Tray 1 sensor issues and similar sleep issue, but this was corrected with new firmware along with the bad tray 1 sensor. The sleep issue managed to stay back for a while, but it has come back again.</p>

<p>Since the firmware on the printer is is up to date (20171205/built on 12/15/17), this issue is being caused by something else or something HP COULD fix in firmware but clearly does not care about. I think the firmware is set to allow downgrades so that may be an option since I archived the 2016022 firmware file (I like to keep one previous firmware revision on hand in case I ever need to downgrade), but that has unpatched security issues on network installations. It appears to have been known about since the 2015 Smart Install firmware, but has never been reliably fixed with new firmware.</p>

<p>This issue is getting tiring and I need a practical solution. If it can't be reliably fixed or it's an expensive issue to fix I'm seriously considering buying a new printer at this point. I have also checked 2ndary service and did not find any error codes to work with so it's an open ended problem to try and fix.</p>

<p>I have tried setting the sleep delay to 5 minutes in the 2ndary service menu to 5 minutes (default is 1 minute). No dice; still doing it.</p>

<p>I left the printer on for 12 hours with a new wake event and Auto power off disabled and it came back on without any issues pressing the power button.</p>
