Check in Task manager > Startup to see what is starting when you first turn on your laptop and that are running in the background. The less programs, except for the ones you that you ''really need '', the better. Also check for non Windows processes that you don't need.

If in doubt, just disable them do not delete them. Also if you're not sure what they are, "Google' them to find out what they do.
+If you have installed a 3rd party Anti Virus program (A/V) ensure that you have turned off Windows Defender. You don't need them competing and using up resources.
