so many thanks for such as super prompt  response.  so what do i do now? you're right about the manual, it just says "It is recommended using a UHS-1 or Class 10 Micro SD card to minimize the delay when reading or writing high resolution image files." i am using a 32GB i got from Maplin, which i when i view on my laptop is ok, it does show a sample picture i copied on it. so what now you reckon?
