How do you remove the keyboard from the palmrest?

It looks like the keyboard is permanently mounted with the palmrest face of the laptop. But there are replacement keyboards on ebay, my brother's laptop has a malfunctioning keyboard and I want to replace it for him without having to buy the entire assembly.
