@nathairglas this is hard to evaluate without taking it apart and seeing the actual damage. Download the maintenance manual for your computer [http://support.lenovo.com/docs/UM020202|from here.]. The Lenovo G50-30,G50-45, G50-70, Z50-70, Z50-75 use the same manual. Once you have it disassembled post some more images of your damage so we can see what you see.
