Today is June 20. 2018, I came to this website to look for the answer... I didn't believe it would work but I lightly tapped each of the 4 corners of my laptop on a table with a mousepad (2012 MacBook Pro).. lo and behold it finally turned back on!!! I was just about ready to take it to an Apple Repair Shop... Yay, not necessary... A couple of times the laptop went dead again and I did the same procedure and it worked both times. .. Who knew!! Lol
