Here’s how I solved this problem:

* Hold down SHIFT -> POWER icon -> Restart ->Restart anyway -> continue to hold SHIFT
* Troubleshoot -> Advanced options -> Uninstall Updates
* Uninstall latest quality update
* Uninstall latest feature update
* Restart computer
* Now computer accepts correct password
