Hi, |
The short answer is yes to the ram and SSD but no to the M.2 SSD |
You can install up to 16GB (2 x 8GB) of DDR3L 1600 PC3-12800 SODIMM ram. |
You can install a 2.5” sata SSD in a [https://www.amazon.com/Generic-Lenovo-IdeaPad-G50-30-G50-45/dp/B01CTNTCQS|caddy] (supplier example only) to increase the storage, but you will have to lose the ODD (optical disc drive) to do this. Also if you install a sata 3 SSD it will only operate at sata 1 speeds because this is the speed of the ODD sata port. The HDD port is sata 3 |

Here’s the [https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/lenovo_g_z_50_series_hmm.pdf|hardware maintenance manual] for the laptop. |
Go to p.36 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove the optical drive. |
Go to p.41 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove/replace the memory |
Here’ s a link to a [https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/lenovo/lenovo-g50-70|supplier] of ram and SSD compatible with the laptop. It is only shown to give an idea of the cost and what options there are. |
There is no M.2 slot in the laptop. |
