Just to check that the battery is OK create a [https://www.windowscentral.com/generate-battery-report-windows-10|battery report] to check its status.
When you have the report, compare the ''Design Capacity'' value versus the ''Full Charge Capacity'' value. For a good, new battery they should nearly be the same.
If the report shows that it is OK try uninstalling the ''Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery driver'' in Device Manager, restart the laptop and let Windows reinstall it and check if that resolves the problem.
To get to Device Manager, press the Win key + x key (both together) and click on the Device Manager link that is in the options box that opens.
When in Device Manager scroll down to the Battery category, click on the > symbol to expand the list, ''right click'' on the ''Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery'' entry and click on ''Uninstall device'' and follow the prompts.
Then restart the laptop in the normal manner
