My money's also on the power supply. How old is it (when was it built)? If you can't get hold of another one the same, then repair yours. Start by changing every electrolytic capacitor, especially if you notice any bulging or leaking (though in early stages, they can have issues and you'll see nothing physically). These are very, very cheap to buy and are a known common problem.
