Here's some information from the Nissan Sentra 2005 repair manual that may help. I think that the Sentra was the North American equivalent of the Nissan Sunny that was sold in other countries, so hopefully it is relevant to your model.
If the above procedures don't resolve the problem, get the vehicle's [https://www.klavkarr.com/location-plug-connector-obd/Nissan-sunny-b15|OBDII port] scanned for any DTC codes. If there are any they may help to know what's happening with the engine at idle.
