Usually with most DC fans if you gently peel off the fan maker's label in the centre of the fan you may find a rubber seal that is covering the bearing.
Gently remove the seal and apply ''1 drop (only)'' of a light grade machine oil (sewing machine oil perhaps) onto the bearing and then reseal it and replace the label (if possible or cover it if the label won't re-stick).
Worth a try.
