@ihatethenewye see if you can enter your BIOS. I think for your computer you do that by pressing and holding the F2 key, then pressing the power button. If it does enter the BIOS, check for your HDD. This "the hard drive makes a clicking for a short time than the clicking stops" would worry me that this may actually be an issue with the HDD. You can also pull it and try to start your computer. See if it gives you a no boot device error.
