Backlight problems

Text:

I have a issue with backlight as one quoted [http://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/47698/Backlight+works+for+a+split+second,+inverter+or+inverter+cable|here], GPU is fine, I can see the screen content from an angle.

Backlight stays off all the time and also when moving the lid up or down, but it flashes for a split second when changing the brightness upwards. This rules out the cable.

Anyone seen similar before, is it an inverter issue or the fluorescent bulb?
