flip speaker over onto its back

using a heat gun, soften the adhesive holding the ring in place.

peel off the ring that covers the screws

using your screwdriver, undo the 4 screws that hold the base onto the body of the speaker.

using your heat gun, apply a slight amount of heat to soften the adhesive.

using your screwdriver, undo the 4 screws holding the speaker assembly in place.

carefully pry in the edge of the speaker assembly.

using a spludger, carefully disconnect the speaker cables from the motherboard.

using your spludger, carefully pry up the battery.

using 2 fingers, pinch the connector connecting the battery and pull it straight out.
