If your Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 4th Gen (20FB002LUS) is having trouble connecting to the internet, use this guide to figure out how to restore your internet connection.
Wireless LAN cards are the main reason why you are able to connect to the internet. This small card is attached to antennas that span through the laptop and pick up signal in a “Local Area Network” (LAN).
If you drop your laptop or it has been shaken around too much, there is a possibility that the antennas attached to the LAN card have been disconnected, preventing wireless connection.

Before starting this guide, make sure to fully power off the laptop, and remove any external sources of power.

Unscrew the nine captive screws on the bottom cover of the laptop using a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

There are a few small clips around the edge that you may need to pry at to free them. An opening pick may be helpful for this process.

Carefully disconnect the gray and black antenna connectors on the green wireless LAN card by lifting under the antennas with an opening tool.

Remove the 2.5 mm screw holding the card in place with a Phillips #1 screwdriver.
